Northeast Kansas Homeschool Activities is a Christian-based home school group formed primarily to provide athletic teams for homeschool students in 6th through 12th grade. The families are located primarily in the northeast part of the state of Kansas. The sports that are available include soccer (boys and girls), basketball (boys and girls), track (boys and girls), cross country (boys and girls), volleyball (girls), tennis (girls). We also organize fine arts, choir, family events, a high school prom and high school graduation ceremony.

This will be used on athletic jerseys as well as on fanware (shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc). Due to the length of our name – Northeast Kansas Nighthawks – the logo wording could be shortened to just “Nighthawks”. We are looking for a logo that has an image along with the word “Nighthawks”. Additionally, we want the font/design of the word “Nighthawks” to be able to stand alone as well as the logo image to be able to stand alone. Our organization often goes by the abbreviated name of “NEK”, so use of that instead of Northeast Kansas would be an option.

Our primary colors will be black and silver. We are looking for a logo that has an accent color to that. We would prefer a more common color that would be easily available when purchasing fanware. Please AVOID reds and blues.

This is a logo that we hope will be used for many years, so fonts and styles that can stand the test of time are preferred. Use of a Christian cross in the logo would be acceptable.

We also want a logo that will look good when printed with a single color (either black, silver or the accent color used in a multi-colored logo). Ideally the single-color logo would not require a lot of cut-out of negative space in the middle.
