The target audience
The target audience is single males with upwards of $60,000 a year income, or two income households with a family. Most customers will probably be male as the purchase of boats and RV's is a somewhat impractical luxury item, and indoor heated storage is catering to those who make a decent income, not the thrifty bargain storage customers.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo should look similar to a coat of arms, and feature some sort of castle in the background with a boat in the foreground. I am open to interpretations of how detailed or simple these elements are, but simpler is probably better. This logo will be used on black uniforms as patches on the sleeves similar to what you might see on a firefighter or police officer. It will also be worn on the front of burgandy blazers similar to what you might see on a college blazer with the schools emblem on the chest. So, that being said, the colors chosen should stand out or not clash with black or burgandy. it will also be used on business cards, website, etc.
Lastly, I would like to be able to remove the color from the file in case I want to print a black and white version of the logo, so it should also look good in black and white.
