Our Slogan
The mission of ACTS is to research, educate and promote highway and motor vehicle safety. We are a nonprofit social welfare organization comprised of the world’s leading automakers.
What we do
ACTS is a 35–year–old social welfare organization classified as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit corporation by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. ACTS is funded by leading motor vehicle manufacturers driven to make the cars and trucks we driver ever safer by researching innovative safety solutions and by educating consumers about safety hazards, how to avoid those hazards, and how using highly–effective technology can help keep them safer. ACTS works cooperatively with other safety organizations and government agencies and has brought together disparate groups to address difficult safety issues.

Our current logo is too small to use on certain websites/materials. We need a new, modern logo that communications technology research, innovation, and traffic safety. This might be expressed matching the style on our website, actsautosafety.org. We like the idea of incorporating a road that moves up to communicate upward mobility/progress. We would also like to communicate safety, which might be done through use of a centurion, shield, road, etc. Finally, we’d like to communicate that we are more than just automotive safety, so if there’s room to incorporate iconography like pedestrians walking across the street/children walking across the street with parents, people riding bikes and being protected, etc. we’d welcome that. BOTTOMLINE: We value innovation and we believe competition helps fosters the best innovation, so we are hoping to see innovative logo concepts and the prize offered reflects this.
