Name On Logo: Brûlée
Our Slogan
Rich Crème Custards
What we do
We are starting a takeaway only Crème Brûlée popup/kiosk style shop, placed in malls around Australia. We sell different flavours of creme brulee in cool looking ramekins and brulee the sugar right before serving to the customers.
Industry: Retail
Things to communicate through the design
1. Modern, clean
2. Striking value for an otherwise expensive dessert
3. Retail impulse-buy appeal
The target audience
1) Basically everyone walking through malls in East Australia
2) Lots of families and couples aged 16 - 50
3) Highschoolers aged 16-18 passing through malls after school
4) Local and international tourists when borders are open later.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Logo: A wordmark style on its own or with a bit of accents and details, modern, clean and simple. Play around with the weight of the text with bold, lower case or upper case.
Tagline: Rich Creme Custards is a descriptive tagline that goes under the logo, being the same length of the word Brulee. Example of similar brand attached.
Word accents: Play around with this and show me what you come up with
Try not to use any fonts, designs that are twirly, serif.
A square stamp style logo comes to mind as we will use it for labels that seal the takeaway box lid seams.
Colour: Can be any that relate to creme brulee or its ingredients (cream, vanilla beans, eggs) but it can also be equally convincing in black and white or primary.
Fonts: Try staying away from cursive, serifs, and anything looking elegant. We are trying to go against the norm here.
The logo will be used in signage, packaging (takeaway box like one attached) and a brand pattern will be made as well.
Creme brulee is an uncommon treat to be found in a retail setting. Taking it away from the fancy menus and making it acccessible to everyone is something out of the norm. The logo can have elements of this as well when it comes to visualising a creme brulee brand's mark - staying away from the typical french inspired style, fonts, gold colours, that sort of thing.
The idea is to send the message that this is something anyone passing by can enjoy without having a second thought that this might be too 'fancy'. Yet it looks modern, intriguing and minimalistic, blending in with the very popular branding trends of recent times.
All of the above are suggestions and any awesome ideas you have are welcome.
