What we do
This is a logo for a 64' Azimut Yacht. The logo will be the name of the boat.
Industry: Miscellaneous

Things to communicate through the design
1. movement
2. power
3. luxury

The target audience
The owner of the boat is a native New Yorker and lives in Miami. He is 50 years old and loves tennis, golf, sport fishing, boating, yachting and anything nautical or on the water. He loves spending time with family and friends and enjoying good food and music and being on the water. He has a dog that also comes on the boat. He travels to Mykonos, Ibiza, St. Tropez, Harbor Island, The Hamptons and Tulum for fun in the summer and enjoys the finer things in life. He will use his boat for entertaining friends, family and business associates. He will also charter the boat but mainly the boat is for his enjoyment with close friends and family to experience together. Scott is in the food manufacturing business and is a serial entrepreneur with a background in real estate, mortgages and meal delivery services. He is most at home on the water.

We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo is: On the DL (this is an acronym for "on the down low"). The logo will be used in die cut metal lettering with back-lighting on the back of the boat as the name of the boat (see photo of existing boat with old owner logo for reference). The logo will also need to be translated to staff uniforms, hats, shirts, floor mats, coasters, pillows, cups, mugs, towels etc.
Some font inspiration - modern, minimal, elegant, luxury, clean, masculine, movement, techy, bold, energy. Looking for something cool / chic / european vibe. We'd ultimately like to have a monogram for the DL part of the logo - perhaps interlocking or connecting the DL in some creative way so it can be used on its own as a unique emblem or monogram. Perhaps there could be some subtle and unique graphic or symbol that references the water / ocean as part of the lettering. The logo needs to work proportionately on the back of the boat without interfering with the door.

Our design will be used on

As an option - I'd like to see how a cursive DL connected in one stroke to resemble a semi-abstract graphic element while still being able to read the DL
