What we do
City officials do not want to change the logo completely, but are open to updating it somehow. This logo will be used on city vehicles, buildings and the new comprehensive wayfinding signage for parks, recreational facilities, cultural attractions, etc. Different colors can be used, but we prefer something that will show up on signage and work in all black or all white as well.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Trust - a long-used logo that conveys trust, but is updated for today
2. Modern - we want this to to be modernized to better reflect current style
3. Longevity - We want this logo to last for at least the next 5-7 years
The target audience
Citizens and visitors alike that will be looking for attractions around our city. This logo will be incorporated into the comprehensive wayfinding signage that will essentially brand all city properties, buildings and vehicles.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Current colors are red and blue, although we are not tied to that (maybe a nice navy?), but would also like something that can be all black or all white on signage that is not full color (think smaller street signs, etc). The current logo is attached and must keep a similar look ("City of" and "Oklahoma" need to be removed, as well as the little swoosh below the word City), but we want you to play with it, have fun, and come up with something updated that will satisfy both the leadership that doesn't want it changed at all and the worker bees that want a new brand.
