The target audience
1. Families, couples, and individuals on vacation looking for a fun outdoor activity (bike rentals, cycling accessories, snacks & beverages, and shop branded clothing & gear)
2. Traveling MTB riders (provide the service and supplies for their immediate needs)
3. MTB riders: male and female; young and old; beginner to pro
4. Parents sitting in lawn chairs while their kids are out riding (snacks & beverages, gear to keep their kids safe, shop branded clothing & gear)
We like these fonts, colors and style
Goal: Combination logo that has a BLACK BEAR (not brown or grizzly and not cartoonish like Yogi Bear) and the PAW WITH CLAWS.
The PAW WITH CLAWS image will be used on cycling gear, stickers, direction signs to the shop, etc. that easily catches your attention. For example, when a cyclist is riding by you only have a split second to see the logo on their jersey. It needs to stand out and be easily recognizable.
The BLACK BEAR (can be just the head or it can be full body) needs to be included because we will be making a variety of shirts and tourist items that have the bear doing different things on and off the bike. The BLACK BEAR should not have a great deal of detail. Preferred is silhouette or image with only a few accent marks that make the bear recognizable. (an example of a silhouette of a bear with the claw is included for review)
Our logo inspiration: There is also a logo uploaded with a Bigfoot silhouette with his foot lifted so it stands out. This logo is from a friend's shop outside of our area. That logo can be used in three ways:
1. the full logo including the tree
2. Bigfoot by himself (as on the logo or doing other activities)
3. The FOOT
we are looking for a logo that will give us that same variety.
Colors: We want a logo that can be done b&w and able to be done in a variety of two-color combinations (example of this idea is uploaded for you. Bigfoot is one color and the tree is another)
Fonts: Fun, Outdoors, prints easy, cuts clean for vinyl cutting (The shop name, BLACK BEAR BIKES, needs to be outside of the image. Sometimes it will be included with the logo and other times we just want to emphasize the image without the name)
Style: Fun, outdoors, adventure, not formal
Open to ideas: You are the creative geniuses! We are excited to see what you come up with. Please use our goals and inspiration as your starting point. Thank you for taking interest in our competition. We cannot wait to see what you have to offer!

Thank you all for the logo submissions. We are loving this. After viewing many of these we have decided that we would like the BEAR PAW to become the emphasis of the logo. To judge the logos we are thinking in terms of a mountain bike rider coming down the hill and we only have a split second to see the logo. We want the BEAR PAW design to catch our eyes quickly and clearly.
Your creativity is helping us focus on how we want to market our shop. In fact we are now considering changing the business name to Bear Paw Bikes! You all are amazing!!!
***Please note that we are in BLACK BEAR territory. There is a difference in the snout and paw of the BLACK BEAR as compared to the brown bear/grizzly. Thanks.
