What we do
Cedar Gate Shooting Academy is a world class firearms training center providing expert level weapons & defense training to law enforcement, military and private civilians. We operate one of Oklahoma's only 1000 yard shooting range for long distance precision sniper training. We also offer a tournament skeet shooting course and a pistol range.

The target audience
Any firearms enthusiast who seeks to improve their shooting skills though advanced weapons & defense training. Our typical client will be higher income earning individuals. Our target audience is obviously pro 2nd Amendment.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Cedar Gate Shooting Academy is part of the parent organization, The Cedar Gate. Several companies reside under The Cedar Gate umbrella including a Publishing company, a Production studio, and an event venue. We are trying to make each logo unique from each other but with some similarities that tie them together:
“CEDAR GATE” should be a bold Calisto MT in all caps.
“SHOOTING ACADEMY” should be a Helvetica Neue LT Std - heavy condensed & in all caps. The fonts have been uploaded.
We’d like the logo to include an icon or emblem which is positionable above the text or to the left of text. See the attached “Cedar Gate Publishing” logos for example.
COLORS:
Note, the attached Cedar Gate Publishing logo’s appear gold plated but the Shooting Academy logo doesn’t have to be gold. We prefer no more than 3 colors to be used in the Shooting.
DESIGN:
We want the Shooting Academy logo to be easy to use when screen printing T-Shirts, embroidering, vinyl cut outs, etc. so the design should be more clean and modern vs. overly complex with too many fine details.
ICON/EMBLEM:
One idea we like is to somehow creatively incorporate the silhouette wings of an eagle (or the wings of another large bird of prey) without overdoing it with too much feather detail. But we're open to other creative suggestions. We uploaded an example of one of our favorite industry logos from Maven Optics.
Note: although the name includes the words “Cedar” and “Gate”, we don't want to use any cedar trees or gates in this logo.
