What we do
We're a new craft beer brewpub in Jesup, GA serving the local community by creating great beer and fantastic burgers in a central downtown location, perfect to meet up with friends. We took our name from the local train station in town that used to be called Union Station in the 1900s.
The brewery will be train themed with a little steampunk twist (lights, copper accents, etc). We will have long tables for "congregational" drinking for groups or strangers to meet, eat and play games as well as small tables for those that prefer a more "normal" eating experience.
Industry: Restaurant
Things to communicate through the design
1. Professional brewery / beer
2. The railroad / steampunk theme
3. Brewed locally in Jesup, GA
The target audience
The logo will be used for signage and apparel, cans, growlers, coasters etc. While this is a taproom, it does have a restaurant component with burgers and shakes allowing us to serve underage patrons as well. That said, ideally we'd like to target 25-50 year olds, both male and female that like to drink beer and have some disposable income.
We also will attract anyone interested in the history of the railroad in Jesup as there will be newspapers and photos from that era.
Our craft beer prices range from $3.50 - $6 / pint so probably looking to someone with a little extra money to spend on beer as opposed to buying a case of Bud Lite at the store.
We have larger spaces for groups looking to sit together and play the various table and card games we have out.
We like these fonts, colors and style
To keep with the railroad / steampunk theme, I'm seeing (but not attached to) black or darker browns, splashes of orange or copper color. There is a twist we can worry about later, but as a heads up - when printing on a clear glass growler I may need a the logo to be able to be single or possibly 2 color but don't let that hinder your use of colors at all.
For fonts I don't really have any in mind, but leaning toward (again not attached to) cleaner type sans fonts. Maybe think metal stamp or railroad crossing or train lettering type fonts. Not to crazy about "frilly" or "curly" fonts, but if you think it fits your design - have at it I could be swayed.
Style I'm thinking illustrated type design / lined shading maybe?
Concept - I don't want to pigeon hole you, I'm drawn to the typical circle type logos because they're bit of a trope for breweries, but wow me with anything you think works.
I would like to get the following text in there if possible -
