Name On Logo: Uniquely San Diego
Our Slogan
The City's Best
What we do
Uniquely San Diego (UniquelySanDiego.com and UniquelySD.com) is a blog-based website with a mission to inform and engage San Diego locals and visitors by providing an always-current online resource focusing on the events, news, and people in the city's multicultural communities. Our vision is to become the top online destination for people looking to learn about San Diego's multicultural resources, hotel hot deals, group rooming accommodations, events, news and opinions.
Industry: Internet

Things to communicate through the design
1. San Diego is rich in cultural diversity and features an abundance of outstanding businesses, events, and individuals with ties to the city’s various multicultural communities.
2. San Diego is a premier tourism destination for individuals and families, and an outstanding venue for associations from around the world to host conventions and meetings.
3. UniquelySanDiego.com is the premier online destination for locals looking to learn more about the city’s multicultural richness, and for world-wide meeting planners thinking about hosting their next event in San Diego.

The target audience
Uniquely San Diego’s target audience is two-pronged: it includes San Diego locals seeking to learn more about the city’s cultural events and looking to take advantage of great deals offered by the city’s multicultural stores, restaurants, attractions, service providers, and independent professionals. Our target audience also includes non-local individuals, families, and meeting attendees, meeting planners considering San Diego as a destination for their next group vacation or association convention.

We like these fonts, colors and style
At this point, we would like to incorporate the colors, gold, yellow, blue, orange or tan or any combination of these colors, we don’t have any particular fonts or styles in mind, but we are hopeful that logomyway’s talented designers can create an ideal logo based on the following guidelines.

The logo should consist of the text “Uniquely San Diego” and we’d like to have a condensed iteration using just “UniquelySD”. Please allow space for the incorporation of a tagline such as “The City’s Best” or “Delivering the City’s Best” beneath the logo in less prominent text. We do not have a final tagline as of yet, and therefore request that the tagline placement not be so tightly incorporated with the logo that changing the wording would disrupt the overall look and appearance of the logo.

Since we’re online, the logo will primarily be used at the top of our website, in marketing emails, and on social media networks. The logo will likely also appear in print from time to time. For these purposes, we believe it makes more sense for us to have a logo that is oriented horizontally, rather than vertically. We request that the logo not contain any stock images, but rather be completely unique. Additionally, it should not incorporate any trendy design gimmicks or cliches.

At this point, we are open to using an icon logo, a plain-text logo, or a design that incorporates both text and subtle imagery. The design should be simple, memorable, versatile and timeless. In addition, the logo should be appropriate for our intended audience of adults who live locally or are interested in learning more about San Diego and it’s multicultural news, hotel hot deals, group rooming accommodations, events, attractions, restaurants, shopping and people.

We would like a colorful logo, however the color should not be so integral to the overall design that a black & white print version would fail to communicate the brand’s message. The logo should be recognizable if it’s as small as a postage stamp or as big as a billboard. We’d also like an incarnation of the logo to be usable in small, square spaces such as the typical headshot images that are associated with Twitter accounts.

The final logo should be delivered as a scalable vector graphic in PNG and EPS formats. If any nonstandard fonts are used in the logo, we’d also like to receive the PSD and font files if possible.
