What we do
Assist black students in applying to colleges with an emphasis on them attending Historic Black College and Universities (HBCU). Managing and directing their college application journey from start to acceptance and everything in between.
Industry: Education
Things to communicate through the design
1. This business will get you to the next level after graduating high school
2. The potential of Black Youth. Highlighting Black Student Scholars and Black Colleges
3. The importance of Higher Education and College Acceptance
The target audience
The target audience would be black junior and senior high school students and their families. Also, want to appeal to High School Counselors and High School College Centers that attempt to do this type of work but are over capacity to be effective.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Possible Crest Style Logo but open to other creative designs.
I am an AKA so the Ivy is ode to my sorority. The Ivy itself represents strength as it is a strong plant that can grow in the hardest environment.
Colors: Black and emerald green.
The company name, Black Ivy, is a play off of what is commonly known as predominately white Ivy League Schools (i.e. Harvard, MIT) but applying the concept to HBCUs which are Ivy League as well (i.e. Howard and Morehouse) but not typically acknowledged as such.
The logo should primarily represent Black Ivy. It should stand out and be the 1st thing you see. The word "Admit" should be in smaller print and less noticeable.
Our design will be used on
(Web) (Print Media) (Billboards & Signs) (Mugs & Tshirts)

The color green we like is more metallic and it fades from darker on the outside to lighter. If you are able to see other logos in our contest, there are a few that have it as an example.
