redshift10 Logo Design Contest
Name On Logo: redshift10
Our Slogan
closing the gap
What we do
Enterprise Architecture consulting services. We help businesses solve technology and information management problems.
Industry: Consulting

Things to communicate through the design
1. closing the gap (gap can imply: technology, information, knowledge, understanding)
2. bringing order to chaos
3. ability to understand and resolve huge challenges

The target audience
We target small remote communities with internet connectivity challenges, little or no infrastructure, and little or no local information management or technology expertise. The organizations that operate in these communities need help breaking past these barriers to improve their operational effectiveness so they can meet legal requirements and provide better service to their customers.

We like these fonts, colors and style
We would prefer no more than 3 or 4 colours (1 or 2 is fine if the logo is expressive enough).

We would like a modern but readable font.

We would generally like a modern looking multipurpose logo that's easy to place on stationary, mugs, shirts, etc... but that will also look spiffy on a web site and other electronic media.

The colour red is an obvious dominant colour, but it doesn't need to be if you have a better idea.

redshift10 is an astronomical term used to reference the farthest reaches of the universe. The name was chosen because it implies forward motion and being on the cutting edge. The company does not actually have anything to do with astronomy, we are only borrowing the term.

Our design will be used on
(Web)  (Print Media)  (Billboards & Signs)  (Mugs & Tshirts)

Additional Info Added Sep 30, 2010
Thank you everyone for all your entries so far! We appreciate all of them, even if we haven't commented on them or if they didn't make it through the first round of decision making.

Some additional things we've just learned from your submissions:

1) We prefer white, or very slightly graded backgrounds.
2) We prefer fonts that are round
3) We prefer fonts that don't have serif's, or who's serif's are small and not dominant

We hope this information, and any comments we've left, help you refine your entries.

Looking forward to seeing new ideas and updates on the old ones!

Thanks again!
