construction management in retail and residential architecture

Concreate is a consultancy company focusing on project management in the construction business in retail (stores like apple/starbucks, clothing brands etc.) and residential design (private housing) in all stages of preliminary design to key hand over. Total ownership of projects to get the best result in managing the client's projects. There is a clear separated focus in both directions.

Focus in Retail: Understanding the clients concept (not the architect), delivering on time within the fixed budget. Think innovative to find cheaper, better and smarter solutions, trustful, taking care.

Focus in Residential: Speak the customers language, make their wish come true, independent view on architecture, translating the clients ideas, deliver on time within the fixed budget, clear decision strategy for the client, taking care, trustful, be the expert, supervise the right program and functions will be translated into an efficient design.

Concreate is not an architectural office or general contractor. Concreate is independent, clearly focused on managing construction projects, taking care for the client, finding the right people (specialists/engineers) and all with a strong sense for architecture.

1. Strength: strong FOCUS / stable base (eye/milestone/essence) on project management basics: cost supervision, quality management and strong timeline focus.

2. Strength: Besides a strong focus/supervision in construction management as mentioned, concreate thinks out of the box to find creative and smart solutions all within a problem solving attitude

- The logo needs to be business orientated (trust) but with a smooth and cool creative base.
- I really need to feel connected with it, needs to my signature.
- Combination of graphic/sketches with a cool fonts
- strong uniqueness, not too light
- Green, sustainability is a clear focus point of concreate as well
- Cool Font, not to stiff or too simple but trustful
- Not too many colors, i think not more than 3.
- colors need to be read in grayscale as well (b/w copies)

Halfway the contest I would like to write some additional notes and comments because I do see some very nice elements coming in but so far I have not seen the logo which I could nominate for a winners position.

CONCREATE'S KEY ITEMS
The name concreate has the following elements/background:
- con = working together
- concept = think in the clients concept and clients wish, make sure the right program is implemented into design (efficiency, requirements, functionalism)
- concrete = direct, clear and focussed communication
- create = create feasible and high level architecture . BEING CREATIVE . PASSION FOR ARCHITECTURE!
- construction management = controlling costs, time and quality - having the network around . FOCUS
- concreate = stable base / stable and solid material and it is my favorite material and color
- creative = think a step further - innovative - open for new ideas . OUT OF THE BOX

COLORS
Fill it in yourself but as an idea....concreate background?

LOGO STYLE
Trustful, stable, symmetric but cool, fresh, modern, passion able. I do prefer designs in the direction of street style, urban, industrial!!, surfing etc.

27.09.2010 - NEW UPDATE:
What I do see so far is a lot of icons based on the C Fonts. I have not found 'THE' logo yet.
Please start thinking from scratch and keep in mind the ideas and style which I mentioned in my extra content information. Could maybe you do a proposal with real concrete background as well to make this the base, the trustful part of concreate and use it the same time as an urban industrial look which I personally like?
I can imagine a cool icon with modern font in front of the concrete could really result in a cool logo. Looking really forward to get amazed by your new ideas.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 5.10.2010
We have decided to extend the contest for concreate because we have not found the right logo yet. Some design do have some nice elements or styles but still it's far away from what could convince us choosing a winner.
It's hard for me to show you a reference logo we really like but we have tried to find some websites which could help you finding the right style for our logo. Have a look and try to surprise us! We really want to go for the BESt result.
