What we do
Most of my work is acupuncture for performance medicine for the equine athlete in the English riding discipline (jumping, dressage, and three day eventing). Many clients also seek my services for preventative medicine for their horse.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Horses are energetic creatures that can benefit from acupuncture
2. Horses are athletes
3. Horses are the royalty of the animal world
The target audience
Most of my clients are middle to upper class ladies from the ages of 18 to 60 years of age. This ranges from college students to urban professionals to retirees. Many of my referals are from their horse trainers.
We like these fonts, colors and style
1)horse jumping with the the back half of its body a thunderbolt, a sort of chimera, that is propelling the horse over the fence
2)some other equine imagery demonstrating that horses are energetic bodies that can be benefited by acupuncture
3)prefer line art if possible
4)want horse image (whole body/front half/head) to be in logo. Prefer jumping or dressage horse (not any Western disciplines!)
5)am very open to creative concepts that demonstrates needles and/or energy with the athletic horse. Not opposed to the idea of a crest as part of the logo
6)want the logo to be able to stand alone without any words, or offer alternatives with and without the wording “Equine Acupuncture” or “Equine Acupuncture by Dr. LaVoie” ***Update- this is not a hard and fast rule as entries including words as an integral part of the logo will be seriously considered as well
7)do not want the yin yang symbol to be incorporated into the logo as it was a part of my last logo
