Casual upscale restaurant serving lunch and dinner with full service bar. Eclectic menu ranging from Southern comforts to international fare. Relative to our small town market, high-end atmosphere with extensive wine, draft, and whiskey lists.

Things to communicate through the design
1. We are re-branding after 10 years open. The new logo should be very different from the old but, ideally, also convey that this is the same restaurant.

The target audience
Small town in Georgia. Mid- to upper-class. Restaurant is part of a thriving downtown area. Substantial professional customers--attorneys, medical personnel, corporate salespeople. Core clientele ranges from 30-65.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Elements that could be held over from the previous logo (attached) include the fine hand font, green color, or the plate. I view the old logo as complex, so I also believe going simpler this time around is a good way to depart from the old. There are a number of "on the Square" businesses, so Plates is the natural short name.
