What we do
Ideal Talent Agency represents actors for TV, Film, and Commercials. We strive to reflect ideals of hard work, creative collaboration, and individualized attention that steers our clients toward long term success in Hollywood.
Currently we have clients on a Verizon Wireless commercial, a Garnier campaign, and others. This month we've had clients on multiple TV series: BROTHERS & SISTERS, CSI MIAMI, WARREN THE APE, & MAD MEN. In all, our logo will be featured on letterhead going to all media companies we work with.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Expertise in Hollywood
2. Hip & Stylish
3. Professional & Savvy
The target audience
Potential new actor and director clients of all ages - particularly celebrity clients. Additionally, it will be featured on communications with directors, producers, and casting directors whom we do business with. On the whole, the common thread is that the demographics of our audience is the professional Hollywood creative community.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Our initial logo was far too simple and boxy and based on the abbreviation ITA. We want to completely go a different direction and not brand ourself as ITA.
We want to focus on the word Ideal or the concept Ideal. The second part, talent agency, should also appear in the logo, but may want it to be a smaller part or less the focus than the name Ideal.
We would like to have some graphical element - but were not sure how to build off the Ideal concept as its amorphous. In this way, we're pretty open to ideas. We're receptive to a play on Ideal, or integration of a completely different graphical element more obliquely related to the agency name or the larger media business.
We would be lying if we said we knew exactly what colors we wanted. The head of the company hates the color yellow.
Lastly in terms of art, we like everything from traditional logos like the original William Morris Agency logo to Urban Art (Banksy etc.) & Pop Surrealism.
Our design will be used on

With only 24 hours, five of our clients gave a ton of feedback on the logos that have been submitted. The rankings are a pretty decent reflection of where our heads are at.
----
In terms of process, we are polling our clients and various other companies we work with to get opinions, feedback, etc. on the choices and will eventually give everyone a final vote amongst our roughly top 10 designs.
Any that are listed as "Elements we like" are still in contention with 24 hours to go.
We will finalize the rankings approximately a week after time expires.
---
Several pieces of feedback came from polling our clients (might I add, we rep creative clients that include people working in the creative arts on the biggest films - so we got some pretty all over the place feedback):
1) Got very positive feedback overall for the selections provided.
2) One person suggested the final logo should have more of the "I" and "Deal" offset to make the play on words of "Ideal" and "I Deal"
3) One person suggested an eye with a person as the iris as the graphical element. They also said that if you google image "esoteric" there was some cool imagery to draw from for additional designs.
4) There was a roughly even divide between those who really love logos like the one with the red carpet or the door, and those who love the more amorphous logos like the swoosh ones and the sort of sunburst sort of blue sunburst one, etc.
5) More than one asked "why so many logos with stars" - I had no answer.
6) Not a lot of love for logos featuring multiple colors.
Since so many people are weighing in and we already like a what we have now a lot. Thank you everyone who submitted. I now have a ton of designers who I can reach out to for next projects and recommend.

WE NEED MORE OPTIONS THAT CONVEY PROFESSIONALISM AND SOPHISTICATION.
This is a professional talent agency handling top flight clients, so think a little more the logos you would see for Telecom Companies, Wealth Management Companies, or Cutting Edge financial services companies - and little less cutesy. Think 3-D logos for internet companies.
WAY TOO MANY LOGOS INVOLVING A STAR. While I'm not opposed to a logo featuring a star - its like this is the only idea we keep being given. Even for the submissions we liked that featured a star - having a star wasn't a selling point.
And color wise, we hate yellow. We like Blue, Green, Red.
