What we do
SAVE’s newest program, One Step Ahead©, is a workplace safety program that uses health promotion strategies to encourage mental wellness and proactively manage mental illness, including suicidal thoughts and behavior, among workplace populations. This comprehensive program is designed to influence all workplace personnel, reducing suicide risk through removing barriers to care, enhancing knowledge of what to do and say to help suicidal individuals, increasing access to help, reducing negative stigma associated with mental illness, suicide, and treatment for mental health issues, and strengthening protective processes like social support and coping skills.
