What we do
Tempeans for Arts and Culture (TAC) is a grassroots action committee formed to build community involvement and support for a November 2018 ballot initiative to preserve the existing Arts and Culture Tax, which is due to sunset in 2020. The TAC campaign will raise funds to inform and educate Tempeans on the importance of funding Arts and Culture as a vital “quality of life” component for Tempe as a regional center for the creative arts.
Through the passage of this tax extension for the Arts and Culture, Tempe will build a permanent source of transparent and governed funding to implement and cultivate the citizen-driven Arts and Culture Master Plan. These funds will support the Tempe Center for the Arts, the Tempe History Museum, the preservation of important heritage structures and cultural and artistic diversity throughout Tempe.
