We have experience in both financial and insurance domains that allow us to assist organisation looking to move away from legacy or hetrogeneous systems to more distributed ones. We adobt the principles of Services Orientated Architecture in all our consulting.
Industry: Internet
Things to communicate through the design
1. Young, innovative and upcoming internet brand focused on quality on premise software, consulting and SaaS products
2. Uplifting small to medium business to compete with larger businesses through cost effective products
3. Being Agile and continuosly inspecting and adapting our products for our customers. Making software people will love using.
The target audience
The organisation long term sees the ambition to focus purely on making robust and scalable SaaS products available to the business industry and move away from onpremise and traditional software models. Our target audience at this stage is small to medium organizations looking to take advantage of enterprise business software that can assist in helping them grow and compete with larger organisations at a nominal cost. This is being carried out by our channel of consulting and development. Our idea is to change our offering to more SaaS adopted products where we can expose our software as a service to the internet and business community globally.
This means the organisation would like to gear towards having an online audience across meany geographies. We require the branding to be a strong recongnition as we start to produce our SaaS products lines with their particular branding. The branding of our organisation needs to be key and needs to standout as an organisation pioneeering the use of business and enterprise software.
Primary industries include: financial,insurance..but in reality we dont want to stereotype to a particular industry. We would like to remain open to different industries and their needs (eg. education, medical etc.)
We like these fonts, colors and style
Prevous consultant (see attached image) managed to create this. Unfortunately, this hasnt taken off very well, and this altogether is not reached expectations we were expecting.
We do require a branding that means people do take us seriously and that we are here to make a difference. We want to be seen as an innovative Web 2.0 company full of innovation, style and character. We want our clients to acknowledge our brand very clearly.
I am looking for a more elegant branding where the logo itself is stronger than the actual business name. I dont have a particular colour scheme, and will leave that to the imagination of the the creator, but I am looking to have clean conscise colour scheme (not to wild and vibrant but where colours do complement each other).
I would prefer that "quarbo" be in small letters. The emphasis of the capital Q seems to be to strong and overpowering. Unless I am convinced otherwise (and I am open to suggestions), the name I would prefer to be in lower caps. The slogan needs not over power the name nor the logo, but it must not be such that the slogan very much is a mandatory element when publishing the logo. Ie there are times where the logo might be used without the slogan and then there are times where it may be used with the slogan. The name and the logo need to be the dominating features, where the logo is most definately a symbol or something that really stands out above the name...but complements the name.
The logo and name could also be used across different colour schemes of web applications and their themes. So it cant be too busy that the logo loses its purpose. If anything if the logo can be applied against many facets but still remain consistent...that would be key. ie I am not expecting the logo and name to be shifting shape or orientation. It also needs to work well in grayscale or a motif (stencil) type look. It also needs to scale well as a very small icon on footers of websites etc.
The font needs to be crisp, clear and elegant and the 5 letter word needs to embrace simplicty, quality and innovation. Spacing between the letters I will leave to up to the artist, but I am not against leveraging some spacing.
Our design will be used on
(Web) (Print Media) (Billboards & Signs) (Television) (Mugs & Tshirts)

Forgot to mention: That the logo, name etc. needs to work against a white background for corporate identity. The principle around facebook and twitter being a logo that really has its own identity and can be used in many facets (as gray scale, as footer to a website, etc.) appeals to me. Web 2.0 polish look. 3D is welcome.
