Things to communicate through the design
1. That we are not producing your father's beer
2. That you want to try our beer because we are different
3. A very subtle vintage, gothic feel
The target audience
Our target audience is aged 21-X, male and female, but more than likely the 21-45 crowd. A little bit more open minded, a little more "heavy metal". That said, the logo should not alienate any demographic. We want people of all income levels, ect to feel like they want to drink our beer and visit our establishment, but we are what we are and hopefully they get it.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The skull in the logo, and perhaps even the entire logo, could be gold foil or gold in color. I am open to other ideas, though. A literal interpretation of Gilded Skull isn't necessarily required. However, I have attached a couple of skull images as reference. The Deftones album cover is a great angle and overall artwork. The damask skull is more along the lines of something I would like to be a basis. The font should be subtle, but match the feel of the artwork. Overall, I'm looking for something a little dark and subtly gothy without being alienating. That said, I am open to any cool ideas you may have. You guys can run with it.
