What we do
Independence Expo is a consumer focused, regional, annual showcase of products, programs and services that enable people with mobility impairments and aging Americans to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Attendees can learn about wheelchairs, walkers and mobility aids, adaptive sports and recreation opportunities, travel alternatives for people with disabilities, federal, state and local programs, etc. The goal of Independence Expos is to promote an active, independent lifestyle for people with mobility impairment.

The target audience
The target audience for Independence Expos are people who have mobility impairment due to an acquired disability (i.e. a spinal cord injury), a congential disability (i.e. spina bidifa), a degenerative disability (i.e. multiple sclerosis) or who are simply aging and aren't as mobile as they once were. It is important that the logo NOT focus on the international symbol of accessibility, a wheelchair, etc. This is a show about empowerment and active living - the focus is on quality of life, NOT disability.
