Port is an independent school that aims to engage at risk students in years 8‐12 who have not been able to achieve success in mainstream school settings for a variety of reasons and situational circumstances.

The students at Port are successful because the school operates in a very different way to most, including small class size, hands-­‐on vocational style learning, personalised & flexible learning groups, community projects, excursions, individualized pastoral care and social support from a variety of networks and external agencies.

Port has expanded rapidly over the last 5 years and now has a Mobile Classroom program, Outreach program, Young Parent Centre, Early Learning Centre and is a Registered Training Organisation in its own right.

Port already has two great logos, one for the school and one for its Young parents and early learning centres. This logo will follow along the same lines as those two, but will incorporate and celebrate 25 years of education. It needs to be and will be a logo that is used throughout our 25th year for special events marketing, posters, flyers, merchandise, year books and media publicity etc and needs to be easily used on printed or embroidered T shirts, polo shirts, caps etc. It will be targeted at past, present students as well as staff, board members, networks & stakeholders and parents

Modern, vibrant, shows clearly that we are celebrating 25 years. It should incorporate or utlise aspects of the two existing logos as they have a common theme running through them including the red, black, white colours. Happy to include silver also as that has connotations with 25 years (silver anniversary) The focus is however on the school as the overarching main business and the YPC and ELC do not need to be in the text aspect.
