The target audience
The target audience is mostly iPhone or iPad owners looking for general news as well as information about hacking the device. I assume my audience goes from 15-40 year olds. These people come to my blog on a regular basis and they often comment on articles and share their views with the community. They are very much implied in the life of the blog.

[Login to view URL] to have a feel about what I write about over there. Note that your logo does NOT have to use the same colors as the site. Your logo will be part of a larger side redesign.
The name of the blog is quite long so I'd like the logo to focus on the first letter of each word instead of the whole name. For that, I'd want the logo to be made around iDB and have "iPhone Download Blog" spelled out next to the logo in smaller font.
Since the logo is for a blog focused on iPhone/iPad, I really would like people to understand right away what's the blog is about. I've thought a lot about it and I figured that using an iPhone application icon in the logo would be the best way to do that.
[Login to view URL] has done a pretty good job with their logo. They have the application icon in there and it makes it clear the blog is about iPhone stuff. I also like how this logo is laid out: you have the app icon on the left, and the text on the right, each word on top of each other. I also like how the icon can be used for a favicon on a website.
[Login to view URL] is a different style but I like how the letter are stuck to each other. A logo looking similar with the letter "iDB" might look pretty cool, but I don't know how it will make people think of the iPhone. If you can add an "iPhoney" element into this, that might be great.
[Login to view URL] This is a logo contest that was previously won here on LogoMyWay. I love this logo. I really like the colors, and the font. I'd love for you to be able to replicate something similar while incorporating the elements I want it in the logo.
No matter what, I really want to go for a simple, classy, cool, edgy, very iPhone-like logo. I also want some blue in there.
