Performance Chiropractic Logo Design Contest
Name On Logo: Performance Chiropractic
Our Slogan
“State of the Art Health Care, Delivered With a Caring Touch
What we do
Using tools like chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, and lifestyle counseling, we help and empower people to live, well… naturally. Our vision is to live in a community low in its dependency on drugs and surgery, and populated by people living active, independent, satisfying lives.
Industry: Medical & Dental

Things to communicate through the design
1. trust
2. vitality
3. healing/health

The target audience
• High-school minimum education
• English-speaking. Likely English as a first language, but not exclusively
• No restrictions on race
• Age 30-85 (average age is around 50)
• No restrictions on gender (roughly 50:50 mix)
• Above-average earning power
• People seeking natural healthcare and/or an alternative to drugs & surgery

We like these fonts, colors and style
The new logo must connote or inspire:
• Trust
• Caring
• Health
• Wellness
• Vitality
• Natural
• Joy
• Welcoming
• Safety
• Growth
• Positive, gentle change

/// The new logo must NOT connote:
• Fringe
• Experimental
• Unproven
• Edgy

/// Performance Chiropractic’s Position Statement: “State of the art health care, delivered with a caring touch.” [note change vs. the current logo; though this phrase may not fit in the new logo, and will likely be used separately from it]

/// Mission ("How we do what we do"): “Applying the power of science and passion.”

/// Vision ("Why we do what we do"): “Connecting people to their true potential”

/// The font used for any words stating "Performance Chiropractic" must be reproducible. We lean towards the font in our current logo (if the artist can identify it), or Norlik (which is similar).

/// The logo must stand on its own, OR with the words Performance Chiropractic.

/// The new logo color: Perhaps teal and/or forest green family; though we’re flexible. The logo must also work in B&W.

/// The new logo must include a “TM” to mark it as a TradeMark. We will register this mark.

/// If the name Performance Chiropractic appears, it too must include “TM.”

/// The logo must be simple. Our current logo (included here) is too complex, with too many lines.

/// The new logo should NOT include a spine, a vertebra, or anything that suggests that a chiropractor or is a back pain doctor (only). In contrast, the majority of our patients will present with neck and/or back pain; thus, we’re a tad conflicted about whether or not to avoid ANY reference to the neck/back in our logo. Be creative!

/// The new logo must NOT exclude seniors. Though our patients tend to be active, our current logo does not connect with seniors. That gap needs to be closed. NOTE: Our average patient is around 50 years old, and not necessarily a “senior.”

/// Company Values ((How our company behaves, how we collectively behave as a team):

• We are the rock. Rocks are strong, and don’t wash away with changing tides. We are reliable, strong, honest, and pure.

• We shine. We deliver hope, happiness, and positive energy. Light and hope are infectious, in a good way – and the world needs our light. We serve and lead with our light.

• We are a TEAM

o Together, Each Achieves More
o The doctor-patient relationship is a team effort. The patient is at the heart of the team.
o Every person who is employed by or who touches Performance Chiropractic can contribute to the Vision and Mission.”

Our design will be used on

Additional Info Added Aug 31, 2016
Please note that there are several attachments here. The first is our current, over-complex logo that we are retiring. The second and third are logos that we like, but unrelated to ours. These other, unrelated logos are only here as a springboard for your creativity. We like them because they are simple and evoke those organizations' mission and vision, visually. We'd love to do the same.

Of course, as previously stated, the logo must be able to stand on its own apart from the written words; but when the words appear with the image, the word "Chiropractic" is more important than the word "Performance." They are both relevant, and part of our name; but chiropractic is more important. Logo #22 visually emphasizes this well, with "Chiropractic" emphasized and larger, and "Performance" present but smaller and less emphasized.

UPDATED INFO, 8/31/2016: We have honed our Vision & Mission statements. Our Vision: "Connecting people to their true potential." Our Mission: "Applying the power of science and passion." Our logo must reflect these key terms, especially: connecting, people, potential, power, science, & passion. There are some GREAT submissions so far, and we might choose one of them to represent our new and updated Vision & Mission statements; but now that you have what we're REALLY looking for, you can design to the heart of our need. Thank you for your efforts!
