What we do
Our vision is to restore natural ecosystems by reintroducing and establishing self-sustaining populations of locally extinct mammals such as bilbys, western quolls and stick nest rats. We expect these will live in the orange sand dunes and darker swales of Sturt National Park in western NSW, interacting and changing the ecosystem back to their wild natural state. This will require fencing to keep out introduced cats and foxes.
This project will focus on whole-of-ecosystem restoration using a landscape ecosystem approach. Our team has a unique record in bringing good science to good management. Looking for logo that communicates the action of rewilding the Australian deserts in western New South Wales (e.g. bilby digging a hole).
Our team represents a balance of demonstrated on-ground track record, practical management expertise of reintroductions and feral animal control, partnerships with governments, communication experience, state of the art science, and ecosystem expertise with extensive knowledge of the arid zones of NSW and our National Parks.
