Name On Logo: Death Wears Bunny Slippers

What we do
This logo is for a YouTube channel that my son and I are building. Death Wears Bunny Slippers is a slogan from the military. During the cold war (and current today) our Airman would go underground into ICBM missile silos and man the missile on 24 hour shifts. The story goes that once they were in, sometimes they'd get out of their uncomfortable boots and put on warmer bunny slippers. If nuclear war occurred, they'd then be turning the launch key while wearing bunny slippers.
I've included an image of a military patch. We like the elements of the patch but it is complicated, a bit messy and hard to see what each element is. The elements should be, pink bunny slippers, something that is "deathly" but not too scary, a nuclear explosion and maybe, if it fits a launch key thing. There isn't technically a launch button. Its a key that is rotated to launch.

The target audience
People that are interested in the cold war and the entertainment from our channel. The logo should maybe look a bit hand drawn as opposed to something very rigid and modern looking. A bit whimsical. Not too serious, but not complex and cartoon like. The patch I uploaded has elements we like, but is too congested and hard to make out detail.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Pink slippers. Black something for death. Nuclear explosion (mushroom cloud).
