What we do
design3's slogan (not to be included in designs) is "learn to make games".
Our business is broken into two main components:
1) Learn - members have access to a growing library of video tutorials that teach a variety of game development tools and enable them to create their own playable video games.
2) Collaborate - all members have access to a 'facebook' like world-wide social network of game developers where they can collaborate on projects and share their work.
Our two brand archetypes are 1) The Creator and 2) The Jester

Things to communicate through the design
1. Creativity (If our customers can dream it, they can create it)
2. Fun (Our customers are primarily gamers)
3. Knowledgable (We teach career-minded skills)
The target audience
We have an international audience that ranges from x-box playing teenagers looking at future careers in the gaming industry, to working professionals looking to supplement their skills or switch careers.
Logo should be somewhat gender agnostic.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The 'd' is designs should be LOWER CASE.
We would like a logo that works well across varies media (print/web/t-shirts, etc.) it should also work well as a single color knockout.
3d gradients and pseudo 3d styling looks nice when done well.
We are possibly interested in an iconic element, but only if it accentuates the overall design and does not become the focus.
Don't feel limited by our current working logo. We've been playing with dark grey, and vivid blue and yellow accents. The lighting bolt was intended to convey 'learning' but we are NOT married to it and it can certainly go away. Treating the '3' as a exponent (design to the 3rd power) is also intriguing but not necessary.
Our website currently has a light colored background so darker text may be preferable.

Hello everybody,
Just wanted to make a post saying that we are actively looking. We have seen a lot of nice designs that we like elements of but nothing that has stolen our hearts. We know that our contest still has 7 days left but don't hold back any ideas. Just keep em' coming. Now for some notes:
We like the font on #2 but are not crazy about the 3. We are looking for the 3 to be behind the logo in a compatible font/style or above it like design to the 3rd power.
We also like the font in #417 but the 3 at the back still isn't doing it for us.
We like the icon on #343 but are not crazy about the font of the word and the letter. We really are not into the whole seraph thing. We are looking for the letters to be round and clean.
#395 is interesting to us but aren't crazy about the font and the icon at the back (assuming that it is suppose to look like a start button, which we like) looks too much like a guitar pick.
There are other things that we like as well but hopefully this will give you guys a little direction. We are always open for suggestions so send us messages if you have any questions.
