What we do
This will be a logo for a new cafe concept using Alphadominche coffee machine. See links below for info on the machine. The Energy lab cafes will be a mix of cafe/tea and juice bar. The whole concept is to really show and educate thru experiences that drinking coffee is good for you, that tea can be a culture when is brew the right way and you can purify your body thru juices and detoxification.
Why we use the name Energy Lab, we consider our selves as organic chemist, we use technology but yet rudimentary out come, coffee, tea or a juice is what we produce. Our name and concept came from the idea of the appeal of time period Steampunk, a re-imagining modern capabilities with 19th century machines.
The attached logo it was a first generation but we want to improve it and convey the right message with the top three things we want to communicate.
Industry: Restaurant
Things to communicate through the design

We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo can not have a coffee cup or a bean or anything so typical as any other items like that. The Colors need to be energetic. Fonts can be unique but need to be legible. NO 3D Logos. Logo can be encompass inside of rectangular or square or circle space.
If steampunk motives are used is to be use it needs to be very light, nothing to heavy or full blown steampunk.
The words 8th St. Need to be small as these will change with each location. See attached logo sample.
The logo has to be 2 parts one symbol that will represent us if seen by itself and part 2 the name. Samples of a two part logo are Apple, Nike, Mercedes benz, etc... What is not a two part logo, IBM, Startbucks, FedEX, etc...
