What we do
The Generalists in Medical Education welcomes basic scientists, clinicians, and other educators interested in medical education. We are educators who teach, conduct research, and provide support services in all areas of predoctoral, postdoctoral and continuing medical education. Specific areas of interest include curriculum and faculty development, testing and evaluation, and student services. At each annual conference, we exchange ideas and knowledge to enhance our professional growth. Each conference offers opportunities to develop understandings of the latest initiatives and innovations in medical education and to explore solutions to educational problems.
We are committed to improving medical education with the goal of enhancing patient care.

The target audience
We serve a wide range of individuals including basic scientists, clinicians, and other educators (anyone involved in the education of medical students and residents). Our participants can range from 20s to 70s and come from all over the world with the majority from the United States. This audience has a special interest in topics such as competency based education, interprofessional education, faculty development, assessment and evaluation, continuous quality improvement, giving feedback, student self-assessment, and any other topics that can improve medical education and patient care.
We like these fonts, colors and style
We have not had a logo before. We have had the words "Collaborate- Innovate- Disseminate" below the name of the organization as a semi-logo but no pictorial logo. The banner that the organization has is a blue color (a cobalt blue) with white lettering spelling out the organizations name. Any sans-serif font or combination of fonts would be fine like Helvetica or Tahoma.
