What we do
South Coast Montessori School Inc provides a learning environment where children are given the freedom and support to question, to probe deeply and make connections, Montessori students become confident, enthusiastic, self-directed learners. They are able to think critically, work collaboratively, and act boldly - a skill set for the 21st century. They also become meaningful contributors to society and their community. The Montessori classroom radiates harmony and respect, they learn how to live in community, to learn independently, to think constructively and creatively. These are the lessons of the Montessori classroom that remain with its students as they make their way in the world. That is why our motto/slogan is "Learning for Life" or the longer version which may or may not fit in a logo? "Creating Lifelong Love of Learning"

The target audience
Parents, children, educators, local community, people who are looking for an alternative style of Education that honours each child's individual and innate way of learning, allowing and empowering them to grow and blossom as their unique, individual selves.
We like these fonts, colors and style
We prefer cleaner easier to read fonts (sans serif)– i.e. not cursive or too flowing fonts as these can be hard to read.
We prefer earthy colours/ colours in nature, strong colours, blues, reds, magenta, greens (all colours really just not pastels or fluro).
We like the idea of the logo in a circle but do not want to narrow a good idea with our limited thinking - open to everything,
also some suggestions were Waves/ocean for location, aboriginal symbols for tradition and children silhouettes for school, as well as the escarpment, pigeon house mountain, forests, lakes ... but again we do not want to limit the creativity, these were just thoughts.
We basically like clean lines and something simple and proffessional that will also look good in greyscale.
A little background on the area in which we are creating our Montessori School....
We live on the South Coast of NSW Australia in the Shoalhaven....more specifically we are in the Milton/Ulladulla district...We are surrounded by the Morton National Park, Pigeon House mountain is our backdrop (directly west of us), we are a little seaside town and the local beaches are Mollymook Beach and Narrawallee Beach... I will upload some images to give you a feeling for our surrounds.
