What we do
This website is a place where people share their story, their personal history, or help another person with theirs. They can write their entire memoir/life story, or just pieces that they want, for example - how they met their spouse, war stories, etc.
My emphasis is that EVERYONE has a story to tell, EVERYONE's life is significant and EVERYONE has something "cool," something unique about them.
The site would be something of a time capsule that future generations, and of course people today, could search for and read. They could search for it by person or subject/place/time in history.
My inspiration came from doing my own geneologic research on ancestry.com - I thought how cool would it be to not only know the name, date and place of my ancestor, but to read even just a short narrative that they wrote! I could know their thoughts, feelings, dreams, ideas....personality.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Share your story & yes, it's significant!
2. Contribute to history with your personal history.
3. "You should write that down someday" - Well now you can, just type it!
The target audience
Rough ballpark age range would be late 20's to 100+. Yes, it's a big range, but this is the age range of people who are becoming interested in their legacy, heritage, wanting to pass stories on to their kids, or at least preserve family stories/history.
True, some people will want to become members of my site simple for their narcissistic tendencies, but they are not my primary target.
Targeting people who have always been told "wow, that's cool, you should write that down someday"....but aren't going to sit down the old fashioned way with pen and paper. Also including people (such as a child or grandchild) who wants to help another person share their story/personal history....(i.e.) the Greatest Generation stories of WWII, growing up in the Great Depression, etc.
Obviously, they would be computer savvy enough to type on a computer at a user-friendly site.
Targeting blue and white collar types, all political parties, etc.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I want a positive, cheery, nostalgic (if that even exists) color....yellow comes to mind. However, I'm open! :)
I want fonts that are straight-forward, easy to read....and I do NOT like fonts that are all small caps. It should be unique and original-looking.
