What we do
This is an annual golf tournament between the "North" and the "South". It is a Ryder Cup style tournament played in the East Texas pine country.

The target audience
The logo is for the tournament participants (males ages 30-50). It will appear on clothing (hats/shirts) primarily. Ideally the logo is distinctive and classy enough that it can be worn year-round by the tournament participants.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo should incorporate a rendering of the trophy (see attached) and preferably an East Texas pine motif. Past Ryder Cup logos are good templates, though we are not necessarily trying to emulate any pre-existing logo. "Themes" we would like to incorporate would be: prestige, classic, honorable, competition, camaraderie, distinctive, fresh.
