Okinawa Boot Camp Logo Design Contest
Name On Logo: Okinawa Boot Camp
Our Slogan
Because someday isn't a day of the week
What we do
I run a fitness boot camp on a US military base in Okinawa, Japan. I offer workouts 3 times a week incorporating a variety of routines. I use boxing, TRX, kettlebells, bodyweight, jogging, sprinting, resistance bands, sleds, weights, ropes, etc. I offer nutrition counseling and bodyfat measurements - although these are not that popular with my typical client. I'm definitely more supportive than "in your face". I try to make the workouts intense and fun - in that order.
Industry: Sports & Recreation

Things to communicate through the design
1. Fun
2. Exciting
3. Trustworthy

The target audience
My clients are 90% women and usually in their 30s. I get an even mix of military (Air Force) and civilian - employed by the US Gov't in some way. They want to work out but don't know where to start and are intimidated to go to the gym by themselves (can't blame them. Lots of young male, muscle bound soldiers in the gym). They have let life get in the way of exercise and are looking for someone to hold them accountable as they try to get back into shape. That's what I hear the most, someone to hold them accountable. Most seem to be college educated. Typical behavior seems to be that they come to me to learn how to be healthy and fit. Most will stay as repeat customers until it's time to move on to their next assignment somewhere else.

We like these fonts, colors and style
I love the color blue, but I've read that orange is used to incite action from customers. However, I'm open to anything as you're the pro. I want it to look inviting to women, not to Navy SEALs since they're not interested in my camp. I'm thinking of using Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man except he's holding exercise equipment. See the attachment. Fell in love with it the first time I saw it. If possible, I would also like silhouettes of people working out - maybe at the bottom of the design. Attached are images that I have in mind. I love the silhouette style of the woman running, but I wish she was running to the right. I would like to see silhouettes of a runner, female boxer, someone swinging a kettlebell, someone using dumbbells, another using resistance bands. I've also attached a symbol that's used everywhere in Okinawa. It represents taiko drumming which is a huge part of Japanese culture. Use all of them or none. You're the designer. What would entice you to drop $270 for six weeks of camp?
