River Rat Logo Design Contest
Name On Logo: River Rat
Our Slogan
No Slogan
What we do
River Rat is a vintage wood seller for guitar necks and bodies. Our woods are over 100 years old and often submerged (from shipwrecks underwater)

The term River Rat is an old term for a lumberjack, which fits because we sell vintage wood.
Industry: Manufacturing & Wholesale

Things to communicate through the design
1. Vintage
2. Craftsmanship
3. Quality

The target audience
Guitar players and enthusiasts. Typically people that care a lot about customization, craftsmanship

We like these fonts, colors and style
Logo should be simple, black and white (but convertible to any color), so no shading.

We want it to be almost like a stamp or a brand.

Thinking of something with a stylized Rat face or Rat Body, maybe with some pirate or lumberjack accessories.

The words River Rat should appear below the stamp, but both should be usable separately or together.

Our design will be used on
(Web)  (Print Media)  (Television)

Additional Info Added Feb 14, 2015
-For guidance on the font used for the text, we would like something Tough looking, not futuristic, and sans-serif.

-For the font and the image, we'd like it to look somewhat distressed and vintage/old. (Like an old typewriter with some bleeding or holes)

-We wanted to give everyone some more guidance:

1) The body of the rats now are too realistic. We want it more stylized with a very recognizable silhouette.

2) We really like the vintage dirty look of the entire logo like #50.

3) We want to see version without a guitar neck. We think that having a guitar neck in the logo might be too obvious.

4) The little details can be simplified, and the entire logo should be simpler and easier to recognize immediately.

We are looking for something iconic and easily recognizable.

Here is a rat for inspiration, although we want a simpler and more silhouette-like image:

MORE GUIDANCE:
-We like the font from #30, with a non-reversed R.
-We want the remaining logos simplified and stylized, with the rat more human like.
