Çiftay İnşaat Taahhüt ve Ticaret A.Ş. is a leading mining company in Turkey and has been performing mining operations for over 50 years. The main activities are operating mines, processing plants, contracting works, mine development and engineering studies.
Çiftay has been producing aggregate since its establishment.
Çiftay started to operate coal processing plant in Soma, Manisa 10 years ago and 35 million tons of coal has been enriched up to date. In addition to this, 70 million cubic meters of stripping has been completed succesfullyup to date.
In subsequent years, Çiftay has initiated to operate metallic mines. In 2008, an agreement has been made with Erdemir A.Ş. for operating both underground and open pit Iron Ore Mines in Divriği, Sivas. Çiftay contributes annually to the production of almost 52% of Iron Ore produced in Turkey at Erdemir A.Ş.
At the almost same time, Çiftay started to perform all of the open pit mining operations of Alacer's Çöpler Gold Mine in İliç, Erzincan and 35 million cubic meters of earthworks has been completed up to date.
In the last two years, Çiftay has also completed the mining operations at Koza A.Ş.'s Mastra Underground Gold Mine in Gümüşhane, as well as VTG Holding's Çaldağ Open Pit Nickel Mine in Turgutlu, Manisa.
Besides his already completed contracts, Çiftay also provides raw materilas to the biggest Cement Factories in Turkey with its drilling-blasting, excavating, loading,hauling and dumping operations.
