What we do
This will be a triathlon endurance event (swim bike run) for about 1,000-2,000 people. This event will take place at a large lake in southern Texas where the skeletal remains of a Columbian Mammoth were discovered. It's an iconic part of the lake's history and should play a large part in the event and the logo/branding.

The target audience
Adults ages 25-70. Most with professional careers and a busy social life and/or growing families. All very dedicated to their training and do so for months preparing for a single event. Nearly all competitors take the sport and the events they do very seriously on some level always looking to improve their times, health and overall experience.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I am wide open to a variety of ideas for this logo. It should look larger than life, contain a Columbian Mammoth in the logo (skeleton or complete animal with skin and hair). Be creative and clever while also paying extra close attention to your typography treatment. I want to be wowed. I love clean design but at the same time ideas that are very well executed and show time and effort have been put in. NOTHING TOO BUSY OR CARTOONISH. DO NOT USE CLIP ART AND THE ENTIRE DESIGN MUST BE VECTOR.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that the logo be so amazing that the athletes want to wear our branded apparel and show off their merchandise after the event is complete to help advertise the event from year to year.
