What we do
I am a "General Contractor" and I own a small (but growing) construction company in San Antonio, Texas focused mostly on Residential work. Generally speaking, my team and I perform almost every aspect of construction from changing light bulbs to building custom homes, and everything in between. We take pride in being thorough, detail oriented and client focused. There are a million residential re-modelers in town and I am better than 95% of them. My quality is better, my relentless dedication to making my clients happy is better AND my pricing is better. The primary thing that sets me and my company and our work apart is my "eye for design". Most every client I have says that I am creative, and my understanding and talent for "design" is what makes me better than other contractors. I am on the verge of taking my company to the next level - More craftsman, more and larger projects, Marketing (thus far I have been 100% word of mouth), etc. and I need a new logo design and company "image" to move with me to the next phase.
Industry: Construction

Things to communicate through the design
1. Design Matters
2. I am different (better, smarter, cooler, and hipper) than all the other general contractors/re-modelers. (Sorry, I know this makes me sound really conceited. . .but it is my business)
3. I get CONTEMPORARY and MODERN.

The target audience
Homeowners between 25 - 60 years of age. They are looking to remodel their house or to update a house they just purchased. They are smart, educated and value driven BUT most importantly: They REALLY care about design. They read home design magazines (e.g.; Architectural Digest, etc.). The spend hours on HOUZZ.com, etc. and they want a contractor that "get's it".

We like these fonts, colors and style
I do have several style and design points that I like, but I am not married to any of them and would readily kick them to the curb for the right logo. That said:
1. It MUST BE Contemporary and Modern in theme (this isn't cold, stark white on white but a softer, cooler modern - clean, simple, straight lines)
2. Colors: At the moment I like a citrusy burnt orange with a dark grey wool color. I also like a bright citrus apple green. Actual logo does not need to have all three or even 1 of those colors...just a starting point. (Also I like simple black and white - See #1)
3. Overall Shape: At the moment, I am sorta partial to something that is rectangular in shape...like a long stretched out rectangle. (e.g.; The long side would be 4 or 5 times the length of the height).

Our design will be used on
(Web)  (Print Media)  (Billboards & Signs)  (Mugs & Tshirts)

Additional Info Added Aug 28, 2014
Still happy with all entries so far but am still quite willing to change my mind and go in a completely different direction for the right logo/color/font/etc.

Also, I am also wanting the logo to be clearly visible when displayed, for example, on a ball cap. Also, the logo will also be used on yard signs and should also be visible to people driving by in their cars... without pulling over to use binoculars to read the company name. In other words.... The font size can not be too small is I guess what I'm leading up to.
