Things to communicate through the design

The target audience
End user customers. This logo will appear on the front face of our new smoke alarm. Typically these are install in family homes.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I think the design should be built around a stylized icon of a home/house. The colors should be friendly...greens, blues, medium browns.
Although used on a fire alarm, we are trying to produce a "non threatening" logo. Do not use any fire in the design.
The wording for the "with interLINX" should be located below the main logo/name. It should be in a smaller font with less emphasis.
This will appear on a real product. No cartoon or silly logos.

Although I've seen a couple submitted, would very much like to see a few more "3D" isometric views of a house as an icon.
Also, I would love to see some work done with just the "x"in "interLINX". I'm thinking that you should add a tail to the lower left leg of the X to create a short underline below the work LINX.
Somebody should give it a try.
