The target audience
We are a US-based, family-friendly website with a global audience of food adventurers, those who want to rediscover Grandma's cooking, and people researching ethnic foodways for school or travel. Large female, Asian and Latin American audiences. For more specific demographic info, see:

We like these fonts, colors and style
We are looking for a simple logo with the name of the site paired with an iconic symbol that preferably conveys international food. The icon will most likely be used separately without the site name as a favicon and in other ways.
For the icon, it should be unique and immediately recognizable. Avoid cliche, clip-art food images (fork and spoon; plate; skillet), although something like an African vessel, Mexican molcajete or Moroccon tagine pot might work. We're also open to something completely abstract and non-representational.
The main logo for the website should resolve well with a max width of 325px. The background should be white or transparent. The website's main text color is #333333. The main theme colors are #556B2F and #E6FFB4. (see

There will be an upgrade of the website's theme in the near future, but the base color of #556b2f will probably be maintained.
