What we do
Our nonprofit, the American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) identifies and supports children who sacrifice their education, health, well-being and childhood to provide care for a family member who is ill, injured, elderly or disabled. The Caregiving Youth Institute (CYI) has just been launched under the auspices of AACY. Its purpose is for C.A.R.E. - Connection, Advocacy, Research and Education (public and professionals). There is an economic benefit for the child and for society when caregiving youth (a still very hidden population) graduate high school and become health productive adults. The foundation of this work engages healthcare, education and the community (body, mind and spirit).
Industry: Non-Profit
Things to communicate through the design
1. It is related to AACY
2. Its purpose
3. Its broad reach
The target audience
AACY is the only US organization solely dedicated to this population. The Connection is for middle and high school students in other parts of the US who do not yet have support from a Caregiving Youth Project. Advocacy is to educate legislators so they can join with us to change policy. Research is for professionals in healthcare and education. Education includes professionals and the public.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The CYI logo needs to be part of the AACY logo family look with a heart at its core.
