Name On Logo: Canine Companion Corps
Our Slogan
Rescue. Dignity. Service
What we do
We are a not-for-profit that rescues dogs, has jail inmates train them, and then adopts them out to military veterans who need emotional support animals or therapy dogs. Our thinking is that these are three populations—dogs, veterans, and inmates—who are too often neglected. Our organization allows them to be of service to one another.
Industry: Non-Profit
Things to communicate through the design
1. the inherent dignity of veterans, inmates, and dogs
2. everyone who participates benefits
3. dogs help people heal
The target audience
Dog-lovers, veterans, and people who support them
We like these fonts, colors and style
We want the logo to be “clean”—not cluttered or ornate, easy-to-read, easy-to-identify, so that people will recognize it and associate it with us.
We are not committed to a particular color scheme or fonts, but we prefer bold color to pastels, and we prefer simple fonts.
No American flag motif. We also need to distinguish ourselves from other dog-related organizations, so we don’t want the purple paw (the animal rescue site) or red, black and blue.
