Name On Logo: San Carlos Church
Our Slogan
United Methodist
What we do
We are a United Methodist Church in a suburban neighborhood of San Diego called San Carlos, focused on worshipping God, growing as disciples, serving our community, and inviting all.
Industry: Religious
Things to communicate through the design
1. We are a neighborhood church
2. We are located next to a mountain
3. N/A
The target audience
We have just developed a new vision plan for the church and wish to have a new church logo, plus additional graphics that convey the elements of the vision. We are trying to reach adults 20-50 years of age in our local community and are looking for something with a fresh, contemporary feel. The residents are middle to upper income, educated and fitness-oriented. The church is located right by Cowles Mountain and Mission Trails Regional Park.
The church logo should read “San Carlos Church” in a larger font, with “United Methodist” in a smaller font below. Additionally, we’d like 4 small icons for each of these words: Worship - Grow – Serve - Invite - that all flow and work together with the main logo. We would like to be able to use the logo and the 4 icons all together, individually, or in various combinations.
We like these fonts, colors and style
For our main logo, we would like “San Carlos Church” the focus, with “United Methodist” in smaller font, below it.
Attached is a sample of the type of thing we are looking for (one main logo with several small icons) but not those graphics, of course. Our church has a distinctive shape to it and is known for that in the neighborhood (see attached picture.) We sit at the base of Cowles Mountain and Mission Trails Regional Park (see attached pictures.) But we are open to all ideas. We would like a clean-looking, non-traditional font. In terms of color, we believe we’d like earth tones, greens, browns, or colors similar to those used in the sample logo attached, but we are open to other color schemes as well.
