What we do
Locally roasted, artisan coffee, ethically sourced. We roast beans in small batches for distribution to individual customers and/or coffee retailers and cafes. Lions Bay is a small waterfront community nestled beneath The Lions - 2 majestic peaks on Vancouver, BC's North Shore. The village is located on the scenic Sea to Sky highway corridor with scenic views of ocean and snow-capped mountains.
Industry: Retail

Things to communicate through the design
1. Fresh roasted coffee beans
2. The Lions - twin peak mountains
3. Sea to Sky - ocean meets mountains

The target audience
A typical customer will be a resident of Vancouver's affluent North Shore communities, age 30+, middle-to-upper class with a trendy, social and active lifestyle. They are eco-conscious, have a refined coffee palette, a taste for quality-roasted coffee (vs. a fast food institutional brew)...they drive a BMW not a Ford.

We like these fonts, colors and style
We welcome ALL creative ideas perhaps featuring a steaming coffee bean, ocean at base of logo with the 2 Lions mountain peaks (attached) at top or the famous lion figure (attached) seen at the end of the city's Lions Gate Bridge. We want to recognize Vancouver's scenic sea to sky beauty and tie it in with our company name and coffee. Remember we are bean roasters NOT a coffee shop (a cup of coffee won't work)! Font should be bold, easy to read, we like the look of the font stamp on a burlap sack of green coffee beans? Colour preferences would be earth-tones such as brown or green (coffee beans) and perhaps blue (for ocean or mountains) but we are flexible. Style should be clean, fun and an illustration vs abstract or a symbol. Have FUN with it!

Our design will be used on

Thank you for all the entries to date! Don't be afraid to "think outside the circle" - although we do like some of the round/circle logos so far, we are open to any shape (oval, square, no shape, etc.) or concepts that we may not have imagined! Maybe a coffee bean-shaped logo? The Lions Peaks protruding outside the main shape? Anything! We look forward to viewing more entries...
