What we do
We are an import/export company. We specialize in trade with Israel. There are two specific products GP Global Trade imports from Israel for distributions in US - 1) organic olive oil and 2) A line of beauty products that are all natural and contain minerals from The Dead Sea. While these are two different products, they do share a few common things - they are all natural, basically contain products "from the earth", are considered to be very healthy and organic in nature, etc. All of our suppliers have had their businesses in Israel for generations and take great pride in the quality of the products they produce.

The target audience
Our target audience is anyone from traditional orthodox Jews, to evangelicals in the Bible belt, to gourmet stores where baby boomers and foodies shop (all for the olive oil) and the Dead Sea Product line can also target this audience as well. The Dead Sea Product buyer are those interested in quality, holistic products. The market also consists of those who may not have as much disposable income but are willing to indulge once in while just to do something special for themselves.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I am open to ideas - that is why I am here but if I had to give you a starting point I would think something like blue and white (Colors of the Israeli Flag), maybe some earthy browns or such to represent the earth, maybe some earthy green too to represent organic. This is just a start but I am not hell-bent on these colors specifically.
Someone suggested incorporating a dove with a fig leaf in its beak, but I am not too sure I like that idea. A Jewish Artist I met told me that we should somehow incorporate a pomegranate into the logo because it is ancient symbol steeped in tradition for the Jewish People.

Hi -
I just extended my contest for a few more days. Many designers withdrew their designs and I encourage you to please participate. There were some great ideas that were posted and now they are no longer available.
Initially when I started this contest, I provided some details about what I was looking for. This was a starting point. I encourage you to please use your imagination - my company is an import/export trading company. Although located in the US, I will do business with people all over the world. I do like the greens/blues/black combo. Be creative....I am looking for something that is simple but different. I want and need something that stands out and something that people will remember and easily recognize. I have big plans and I need a logo that I can carry through the success of my company.
