Pearl PR Logo Design Contest
Name On Logo: Pearl PR
Our Slogan
Lifestyle Marketing, Branding and PR
What we do
A small marketing, PR and branding consultancy specializing in the Lifestyle and Wedding sector. We are based in the south of Spain and most of our clients are self-employed providers for the Wedding and Events industry.
Industry: Consulting

Things to communicate through the design
1. Approachable
2. Professional
3. Fresh

The target audience
Small businesses, predominantly female-led, English speaking, aged 30-50. The businesses I work for provide event management, lots of emphasis on weddings, and are also creative types such as photographers and cake makers. They are media-savvy but not technically-proficient.
They are liberal minded, entrepreneurial, ambitious but more interested in quality than profit. They want assistance in creating professional branding for their companies but are intimidated by the cost and technical aspect of marketing. They need to feel supported but not controlled, they want their consultant to feel like a friend and part of their team.

We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo could feature a pearl or something circular, a nod at the name (a bit like the one attached) without anything obvious. A bit romantic and feminine to reflect the client's services but NOT Vintage or too old fashioned. It is vital that it appears fresh, professional, contemporary, approachable, clean, simple and striking. Perhaps a mix of script and stark fonts. I like the idea of the P being able to stand alone with a pearl/circular background too to be used as a separate 'button' logo for Social Media. Colours: black, white, pearly colours perhaps like light blues and greys. Perhaps silver or gold?
Pearl should have a Capital P and PR smaller, or integrated in some way seeing as a P and an R appears in the word Pearl. The background should be white or as a cut out so any colour background can be used.

Our design will be used on
(Web)  (Print Media)  (Billboards & Signs)

Additional Info Added Mar 1, 2014
After having seen the first attempts I would like to add the following:

Don't add the strapline at the bottom
Use soft pearly colours, no seaside blues
Logos and fonts should be feminine without being vintage

I would like to see some attempts at 'hand drawn' concepts such as these but not as girly:

OR simple and abstract (but still soft and elegant) like this:
