The target audience
The target audience are professional individuals who are involved with groups or societies, event attendees, etc.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I want to leave as much of this up to you as possible however I would like to see a logo that has the ability to sit within an app icon as well as exist independently on a website as well as other tangible merchandise.

Just to add a few things.
As mentioned the logo should work both as within an App Icon and for other media, these can be split to two separate designs.
The idea is that professionals are able to connect with each other through the app.
The logo should incorporate both aspects of the business; the connecting (chain) and the social connection. (chat)
