The target audience
Scuba diving enthusiasts of every level, every age, and every interest! I'm looking for a brand that people will gravitate to, and be proud to be a part of, and want to show off. Branding will be used for apparel, stickers, etc.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I'm thinking it should incorporate the State of Florida, some kind of representation of the shape of Florida. Maybe a compass rose to highlight the southern part of Florida, from Palm Beach County to the Florida Keys (which is where I will primarily serve), maybe a scuba tank outline? Maybe a grid view of the world. An icon of the world in grid format is a known, trusted graphic used by PADI & SDI (both scuba training agencies I represent). Feel free to play with other symbols that might work for diving, like a red/white dive flag or pattern, a hammerhead shark outline (maybe incorporated into an outline of Florida somehow?)
