What we do
We put on high quality events in and around the Houston Area. Cypress is an area just outside of Houston. The exact location in Cypress the event takes place is a very high scale master planned community called Bridgeland.

The target audience
18-60 Years Old, Male (65%) & Female (35%), Northwest of Houston by 30 miles, Motivated & Educated Adults & Families, Interests in Swimming, Cycling & Running.
We like these fonts, colors and style
FONT - I am envisioning a nice high quality script with some thickness too it throughout, especially at the ends. This script should have swooping (but not too fancy) capitals (the C in Cypress) and the rest (lowercase) should be very legible when the logo is reduced in size. Legibility is key, no super fancy hard to read scripts. This has to reproduce very well. I'm not married to the script font, if you have another idea please explore it. No serifs unless you're sure it's a winner.
COLOR - Bridgeland is the upper class master planned housing development where the Cypress Triathlon is held. Bridgeland is known for it's lush green landscaping, full trees, lakes, bridges, running paths and overall beauty. It only makes sense to use vibrant greens, rich browns and deep blues. This logo's colors need to really pop.
STYLE - I cannot stress how important the font is to us. Any elements like leaves, vines, dirt and/or water should be incorporated as part of the logo not completely separate elements. I want this to look like nature helped produced it but in a hip, really cool kind of way through some really great design with crisp edges and all around dimension. The design should work on a number of background colors (brown, green, black and white). Each participant gets a shirt at our event. We want to have nothing but the logo in the middle of the shirt in full color. We want the participants to look forward to wearing the logo.

The logo should have the following in this order
1st Line - Cypress or CYPRESS - Largest
2nd Line - Triathlon or TRIATHLON - Small to Moderate
3rd Line - at Bridgeland or AT BRIDGELAND - Smallest
