What we do
DMP Properties is a private, family-owned and operated, commercial real estate investment and management company based in Newport Beach, California. Our portfolio is weighted towards retail, with a focus on neighborhood and community shopping centers located in Southern California. Through our affiliated entities, we own and operate shopping centers, office buildings and single tenant properties in prime Western U.S. locations. We are actively involved in the day-to-day management of all of our properties and take a "hands on" approach with all of our investments. Since our founding in 1983, we have built up a portfolio of quality assets and presently operate over 1 million square feet of commercial property. What sets us apart: Long-Term Ownership, Financially Strong, and Experienced In-House Management.

The target audience
Our target audience is a combination of lenders, tenants and their brokers. We have no need to advertise services per say; instead, we need to project an image. Our logo needs to portray legitimacy, confidence, stability, and longevity without losing that hands-on family-owned touch that we are so proud of.
We like these fonts, colors and style
We frequently refer to ourselves as DMP, dropping the “Properties”. We’re leaning towards an initials/typography-based logo design that can be used for both inline print media and more of a shortened form as well for labeling. Think of Sun Microsystems, Dell, or Starbucks - All incorporate a symbol, but still say the full business name and yet can be shortened to only the symbol or initials if/when needed. We’d lean more heavily towards silvers, grays, blacks, and maybe the dark red as more of an accent. Colors can be easily changed, so please feel free to change it up. Please incorporate hints of a shopping center style building.
We have a logo, but are not in love with it. Please see the attachments to get an idea of how we came up with our current design - It might help.
