The target audience
Generally mature males (sometimes females too,) logistics managers, well-educated, employed by oil refineries, chemical manufacturers (eg solvents, vegetable oils) and their customers, and Freight Forwarding agents. We need to give assurance that that we will manage their risks while moving their cargo.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The name Buffalo Tankers was chosen as it is of course one of the big 5 (our trucks will run across Southern Africa,) has the strong dependable image we want, and is also the name of a local river - flowing inexorably towards the ocean. We like the concept of an African, (not N.American bison) buffalo head, perhaps with a strong but benign-looking face. Favourite colours are black (head) with dark blue but we are open to some variation.

We would also like to see the following:
-No angry (mean) looking bull face we know it's cool and trendy but it's not what the company stands for (see below for a better personalisation of the Buffalo Bull type)
-This logo should be modern and clean
-It needs to look professional and premium
-The logo must NOT like a car model's logo
-Visually appealing and cool but not cool for teenagers or as in a security company look.
-Must NOT look like clipart puzzle thrown together or cheap drawings
-Something which you would be proud to put as a brand on a shirt or hat
-Flexible as in can use the Bull head separate to the copy and vis-versa but if you saw them separate you would be able to marry the two elements immediately
-Please also don't be shy to use your own initiative as well.
Basically this Buffalo bull head will be our Hero for everything. Big stickers at the back of trucks, back of shirts (ideally we would like it cool enough for our competitors drivers to wear them - was thinking something such as the horns overlapping onto the shoulders on the shirt back would be an interesting idea maybe), for hats and peaks etc the list s endless. So even though it's not a trendy cool in a mean way that you would see on a gym or security shirt, he is still the kind of "face" that you will see on a bikers jacket perhaps or an hard wearing outdoor sports brand but also someone who would push the boundary's to try a few extreme sports.
Be very careful of the eyes treatment as we don't want him to look angry or too mean. More like the wise leader of the herd (not old wise he is fully grown but not aged).
Just by looking at him, you know he means business and you can trust him and would like to be a part of his herd.
